Hi I'm Adele

I love family, friends, hugs y besitos. I breathe meditation and classical music. I miss Chile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved around a bit growing up. As a result, I love and miss the red dirt and precious thunderstorms of St. George, the beauty and serenity of Cache Valley, and the bluebonnets and friendly drivers of Texas. I also served an 18-month mission in Chile and daily miss the people, the culture, and Chilean Spanish I quickly learned to love. I like to think of my family members as bohemians, thespians, angels, mentors and my best friends. My dreams are to sing with my husband as often as possible, to study vocal pedagogy and write about it, and to teach A LOT of voice students. I also plan to improve my Spanish and learn French. I am "Mommy" to a ray of sunshine who brings me smiles and joy at any given moment. I began a conscious journey of "mindfulness" a few years ago and plan to continue it for the rest of eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes sense in my mind and heart. I've been able to make covenants with God that bless my life and help me to develop a close relationship with Him. Along with the Bible, the Book of Mormon invites me to come unto Christ, to accept Him as my Savior, to allow Him to cleanse, strengthen, and heal me; every time I ask God if I can believe and follow the teachings of this book, the Spirit brings so much joy and peace to my heart that I cannot deny it. I know that it is of God. I know that Christ organized and led a church while here on the earth, and I know he has one now. I am a Mormon because I want to be a part of Christ's church, I want to follow His prophet and apostles, I want to have the power of the priesthood in my life and home, I want to feel His presence in His temples and in my home, I want to be with Him and my family forever. Being a Mormon helps me focus and build my life on Christ.

How I live my faith

I enjoy finding and nurturing faith in all areas of my life. It helps me to focus on four key relationships: my relationship with God, my relationship with my family, my relationship with my fellow men, and my relationship with myself. I strive to make prayerful meditation and gospel study a consistent part of my life. As a family, we pray together often and make time for discussion of gospel thoughts and questions. I participate in a community meditation group. I teach Sunday classes for women at church and regularly visit some of them in their homes; these women teach and serve me constantly and I love them. My faith guides and gives so much meaning, purpose, and direction to my life, even when I study and teach music.
