Hi I'm Charlotte Melissa Sawyer

I grew up on a full working farm. Became an RN in 1968. A proud mother of 4 and a grandmother of 8. I'm a Convert. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love doing Art, being outdoors. I volunteered at a zoo. I love hanging out with the LDS missionaries. I went to Stewart Circle and studied nursing. I minored in Art and I continue to draw, and paint. I love reading and watching movies. I have adopted many missionaries as my children.

Why I am a Mormon

After going to many different churches throughout my life, I decided I was lacking the skills that I needed to follow Jesus Christ, so I began my 10 year search for a church that would teach me those skills. One day my mother came home and told me that she joined the Mormons. I was not impressed with my mothers reasons for joining, so I didn't listen to anything she had to say about it. The following year I changed jobs, I became the Healthcare Manager for a Chemical Plant. My boss at this new job was a very active Mormon. Over the following months I began to ask many questions, and I watched him closely to see how or if he would live his religion. I was impressed enough to learn more in his home, and attend church with his family. After a couple of months of personal preparation and learning, I was baptized. I knew at once I had come home. After many moves over 25 years, no matter what state or city, I still find the church and know i'm home.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by bearing my testimony, and conversion story with as many people as I can. I try to show people the joys that come from following Jesus Christ and his teachings. I try to help my neighbors love others as much as I love them. I invite my neighbors to come for family home evening. I sometimes give classes to learn or improve personal skills.
