Hi I'm Kylie

I'm a musician, a college student and from Wyoming. Called to serve in the Florida Fort Lauderdale mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Wyoming. I come from a family of 6 kids with 2 adopted from Africa. I have the two finest parents on the block!! I love singing, basketball, people, Nutella, the ocean, the piano, hiking, and looking at the stars. I am attending the University of Wyoming with a declared major of Dental Hygiene.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, which was truly a blessing. As I got older though, I realized that I could not live solely on what my parents have taught me and just taken their word for it. I needed to know for myself if this is the true church and if it was something I needed in my life. My answers to my prayers came pouring out as I moved away for college. Through prayer, I was able to talk to my Heavenly Father. Through the Holy Ghost, I was able to have a confirmation that this is the true church. The Book of Mormon is true scripture and that "a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book." I know that a there is a living prophet on the earth today named Thomas S. Monson and that he holds a power from God to help us in these days. I know that Jesus Christ died for us and that He lives today! I know that there is a plan for us in this life and if we strive to become like Christ, we can one day live in the presence of our Heavenly Father, once again.

How I live my faith

I strive to treat people with a love that is similar to Jesus Christ's. I believe everyone has a story and everyone should have a chance to portray it. I know that people struggle in ways that we may might know so my job is to love and treat everyone like Christ would treat them. I try to live as an example to others that the gospel of Jesus Christ does not restrict or give us limitations, but that it can set us free and more than anything, happy. I try to become better every day through the teachings of the church.
