Hi I'm Jim

I grew up in Montana. I now live in Tennessee and have two kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a veteran, still serving in the Army. I was married for almost 11 years but got divorced. We have two children together and they live with their Mom. My hobbies include moderate physical exercise, making art / music and doing stuff outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the teachings contained in the Book of Mormon. I grew up attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and at about age 19 I really started to become converted. This conversion has been an ongoing process throughout my entire life as I have tried to honestly understand the Church's teachings. I believe that it is okay to question the teachings of the Prophets and Apostles but to always remember that the Lord gives us knowledge a little bit at a time and expects us to make an honest effort every day to learn His ways.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by believing in Jesus Christ and following His teachings. The Book of Mormon is very important to me and I read it every day. I pay 10% of my income to the Church. This is known as tithing. Also, I look for opportunities to share my talents with those around me.
