Hi I'm Jessica Lopez

Latina from Mexico! I love my family, my friends, the outdoors and food! Oh! I'm a Mormon. (:

About Me

I am 20 years old, I love doing anything active and trying new things! I have a wonderful family who loves me and supports me in everything I do! I have three older brothers and two younger siblings. My parents are converts and came from an interesting background, but I believe that people can truly change if they come unto Christ. That is why I have decided to serve a mission and I have been called to Mesa, Arizona. I am the first of my family to serve a mission. Helping others is something I enjoy very much, currently I am finishing a degree in Medical Assisting and when I come back from my mission I plan to continue my education and become a Physicians Assistant! I know that if we strive to do things for others and learn to accept people for who they are we can all live happier lives! (:

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a Mormon not because my parents decided to join the church, but because this gospel brings me true peace and happiness. This gospel gives me hope in things which are yet to come. It helps me to understand why we go through hard times, it let's me see that even though things look bad now they will get better. Being a member of this church has also brought me so much comfort in everything! It has shown me how to see things from my Saviors eyes, granted I mess up at times, but that's okay! Because I know He loves me and that I can mess up a million times and thanks to Jesus Christ's sacrifice I can be forgiven and be clean again and know that He would still love me unconditionally! It's so amazing to feel that and to know without a doubt that through this church and with His help everything is possible. I choose to follow him and I know it's never to late to let The Savior in, He's there waiting for you all you have to do is let him in.

How I live my faith

I go to a singles ward and am currently an assistant to our ward mission leader, so we visit a lot of people who are not actively coming to church to see if there is anything we can do to help them out! Whether it be yard work, house work, or just being a friend! On occasion I teach Sunday school. I was also the chorister of our ward for about two years which helped me realize that listening to uplifting music is a great way to feel our Saviors love.
