Hi I'm Heather

I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.

About Me

I was born in Logan, Utah and moved to North Ogden when I was four years old. I grew up in North Ogden. I have two sisters and three brothers me and my younger sister are the only two that are not married. I have ten nieces and nephews that I love and adore. There are two more on the way. I love spending time with my family they are my best friends. I am grateful that I get to spend eternity with them. I did a lot of dancing, cheer-leading and tumbling while growing up. I was a cheerleader in Junior High. After high school I moved to St. George to attend college at Dixie State University. I lived there for three years. In those three years my life was changed. I learned to rely on the Lord for everything, I became close to Him through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I met people that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I will now being serving an LDS Mission for 18 months. I never saw myself serving an LDS mission, but through prayer and counseling with my Heavenly Father I came to realize that this is where he needs me and I couldn't see myself anywhere else in the next year and a half. I am excited for the experiences I will have and I know I will grow immensely from this experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, my parents have always been very active. Most of my life I relied on their testimonies of the gospel. High school was one of my most trying times in my life. When I moved to college, which was 6 hours from my home, I never felt so alone. I realized that the choices I had been making were drawing me away from the Spirit of the Lord. I never wanted anything more than to feel that again. There is a joy that is felt from the Holy Ghost that I cannot live without. I was drawn close to the Lord through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I have a strong testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ I would not be where I am today without it. I am grateful for my Savior who suffered and died for me. I owe everything to Him. I am grateful for the Book of Mormon and the strength it gives me when I read and study it. I am grateful to have apostles and a prophet of our church Thomas S. Monsen who leads and guides us. I am grateful for Joseph Smith for translating the Book of Mormon to be the Word of God. I know that he was guided by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to restore this true church today. I love this Gospel with all my heart and I am so grateful to have it in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every Sunday and attending church activities. Most importantly I pray to my Heavenly Father and Read my scriptures so that I can communicate with Him and be guided by Him. I have had various callings that have kept me accountable for participating in the Gospel. I will be serving a mission for a year and a half. When going on an LDS mission your purpose is to help others to come unto Christ and I am excited to tell everyone about the Gospel. I know that my faith will be increased far beyond what I can even imagine. I will meet incredible people and get to tell them of my faith and share with them the blessings that I have received.
