Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in California. I teach martial arts, (Northern shaolin) and I am LDS (aka mormon)

About Me

I went to a community college at 15, graduated at 16, I grew up talking to adults my whole life, and I read lots of self-improvement books. I trained Chinese martial arts at 14 and on. my physical and mental stability was very good, yet I was still missing something in my life, thats when I started to follow the teaches of the gospel more closely, and I found that the gospel helped me with what i was missing. if it wasn't for the LDS (Mormon) church I wouldn't be where I am today,

Why I am a Mormon

This church brought my family together, without it I wouldn't be able to help those around me in the magnitude I am now. I don't mean giving to charity (which is great!). what I mean is being able to help them live a better life, away from confusion and guessing. there are answers out there. When I was younger I was told that you can't help someone up if you are lower then them. (or at the same level) point is people can say whatever they want for advice, but, unless they live that advice its not worth much. for me. living the standards of the church is happiness. "happiness lasts, pleasure does not" it just all depends on what you want in this life. personally, I've seen the humans way, that alone is proof enough for me not to follow the advice of humans. just look at the world. teach a man good principles and they will govern themselves. teach a man bad principles and...well you can see the world and what is happening. I believe that Joseph smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ. and with the gospel we can use those good principles and have happiness.

How I live my faith

I teach at a local martial art school and I am a part of boy scouts, all of which I support them to become better people. most of them ask why I am respectful. that is when I can share what I stand for and my beliefs, in my experience people don't like when someone pushes their belief on each other or have a judgmental attitude. I live my live as if those people can read my mind, that way my thoughts will be clean as possible.
