Hi I'm Brittany

I'm a small town college girl heading to the big city of New York. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a small town college student with no idea what I want to major in! I love the outdoors, baking, decorating, traveling, golden retrievers, rainstorms, and being with family and friends (and my dog, of course). I have a crazy obsession with police procedural TV shows and England. In my opinion, a sense of humor is one of the most important qualities a person can possess. I love to laugh and make others laugh. While I love listening to music, my personal musical abilities are severely lacking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Mormon family. I went to church because that is what was expected of me. But as I got older and started studying the gospel more seriously, I came to have a testimony of my own. I love being a part of this gospel. I love knowing that this life is not the end, and that I will be with my family again. There is so much peace and strength in knowing that death, sadness, pain, sin, and trials are not permanent. Through Christ's atonement, these hardships will not only end, but we will become stronger because of them. Knowing that God is there and that He loves us personally and infinitely is the most incredible feeling. I have so much hope for my future and the future of the church because He leads us through living prophets. I have felt my Heavenly Father's presence, love, and guidance so many times in my life. I don't know where I would be without this gospel. I just know I am blessed beyond measure because it is a part of my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church and accepting callings cheerfully. I love working with other members to create a fun environment that also provides spiritual edification. I try to be a positive influence in other's lives. I read the Book of Mormon, pray to my Heavenly Father, and try to attend the temple weekly. There is such a spiritual strength and rejuvenation that comes from making the temple a priority. I am getting ready to serve a mission in New York, and I can't wait to serve the Lord and the people there!
