Hi I'm Jesse Donohue

I grew up in Idaho. I like to play games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play games with my friends and family. We play basketball, video games, go snowmobiling and many other fun activities. I participate in Boy Scouts of America and have earned my Eagle with the help of my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

The principles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints help me to come closer to God. In addition, they also help keep me healthy and safe. I have met many people and have many friends all who encourage and support me and each other in living gospel standards, which are designed in such a way as to help a person to become better, more Christ like, than they used to be. It is not always easy to live the principles and standards that we are asked, but if it were easy we would never learn anything from them. It is not about convenience, it is about working to become a better person.

How I live my faith

I go to church and the other various church activities (such as scouts). I live the standards that I have been taught.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Jesse Donohue
The first thing to remember is that our Father in Heaven is just that, Our Father, the Father of our spirits. He wants what many good fathers want, for His children to learn, grow, and become like Him. You come to know Heavenly Father in a similar way that you come to know your earthly father, you talk to Him, through prayer, and you work alongside Him, through service. A strong relationship with our Father in Heaven is a personal one. Just as each earthly father has a different relationship with each of his children, so to does our Heavenly Father have a unique relationship with every person. Our Heavenly Father is always trying to help the relationship between Him and His children grow, but just as a children can ignore and tune out the advice and effort of their earthly father, so to can we ignore and tune out the advice and effort of our Heavenly Father. A relationship is a two-way street and we will only get out of it the effort that we put into it. Show more Show less
