Hi I'm Greg

I grew up in Utah. I'm a singer, an avid player of sports, a musician, a fighter, a friend, a brother, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

My name is Greg. I was born in Utah, and have lived there all of my life. I grew up in a family of six children. I was the only boy, meaning that I grew up with five sisters. I grew up in the LDS church and was baptized when I was eight years old. I graduated from high school in June of 2010, and served an LDS mission in the Dominican Republic from October 2011 to 2013. I currently attend a university in Utah, where I plan to study medicine. I enjoy doing many things, but most of all I love singing, music, learning new things, and helping other people in any way that I can. I enjoy playing all kinds of sports such as basketball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee. I love skateboarding and longboarding, as well as running and working out. I love all of these things, and I love my family and church, but above all else, however, I love God. I have lived a fairly comfortable life, but I have experienced difficulties and heartache, and I have made mistakes but the one thing that has always remained constant in my life is God and His unfailing love for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS (Mormon) church my whole life, and I think it would be somewhat dishonest to say that I have always believed without any doubt that everything taught in the church was true, but throughout my life, and through personal experiences I have come to truly believe that what is taught in the church is indeed true. I am not simply Mormon because it is what I grew up with, or that it is all I know. I am Mormon because being a member of the church has helped me grow closer to God, to better understand Him and His purpose, and in so doing to better understand myself, my purpose, and my own infinite potential. I am Mormon because as a Mormon I am encouraged to be the best that I can be, to become more like Jesus by serving others and showing love to all. I am Mormon because as such I believe in doing all that I can to live the gospel of Jesus Christ to it's fullest. I am Mormon because I have come to know that these things are true as I have exercised my faith in God enough to experiment with the words of His prophets, and to put my life in God's hands.

How I live my faith

I mostly live my faith by simply trying to be a good person. Many of the difficult experiences in my life have helped me to grow closer to God, and to better understand his love for me. Many times in my life I have felt very alone, but through those experiences God has shown me in many ways that He is always there, and that He loves me. This is the knowledge that has consistently helped me to have the strength to keep going. Because I know that God loves me, I know that he loves ALL of his children, and throughout my life I have strived to make my own life an example of His love, by showing others that I care, and most of all, that He cares.
