Hi I'm Sloane

Born and raised in Utah. I love traveling with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outdoors and go exploring with my friends and family. My family and friends are so important to me and I enjoy spending as much time with them as I can. I'm a college student and work part time so life can be busy sometimes but luckily I'm constantly surrounded by great people. In my free time it's always fun to go see movies or just relax with some good company. I enjoy reading, all types of books are great. I absolutely love to travel! I have not been out of the country yet but I know one day I will. I've gone on many family trips to beautiful places in the United States. I love to discover new things and experience different cities. I'm fascinated by different cultures and can't wait to find cultures around the world. I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. It's fun to talk to others and see what their life is like and hear about their experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been a Mormon. My parents raised me in the gospel since day one and I've always loved it. Even though I loved the church I wasn't sure I had a testimony of my own or if I was just basing it off of my parents testimony. When I was a freshman in high school my parents got a divorce. I wasn't sure what to do or how to react. I slowly stopped going to church activities and skipping parts of church. When I finally realized I couldn't deal with this on my own I turned to the Lord for help. Immediately I knew I wasn't alone and I got the help and comfort I was seeking. I began to read my scriptures, attended church and church activities regularly again and I was talking to God constantly. When I began to do these things I started to build a testimony of my own and new that this was the true church. I have a testimony of the truth of this gospel and the joy it can bring into our lives. It scares me to thing of where I would be without it. This gospel has helped me through so many struggles and hardships. I know that my Redeemer lives and he loves me so much that he would die for me so that I can repent of my sins and be forgiven of them so that one day I can return to my loving Heavenly Father. I know with all my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ is the true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every week. I've had the wonderful opportunity to work with the awesome young woman of my ward and see the testimonies of each of them grow as they immerse themselves in the gospel. I try to be more like Jesus by going out and serving those around me. Something as simple as vacuuming the house of an elderly couple or helping with some yard work can go a long way. When serving others I can get a glimpse of Christ and how he lived his life everyday. I've had opportunities to work with the youth and it's so awesome to see how they are so eager to participate in church activities and help one another. Whenever we were trying to organize an event or activity for them they were always so willing to participate and be apart of those activities. The more involved I am in the church the happier I am. I've been able to bond with so many others and see my testimony grow. By participating and getting involved with the Church I am able to live my faith. I'm going to be living my faith for the next 18 months by serving the Lord on a mission. I couldn't be more excited to bring the true gospel to so many others and show them what joy it can bring to our lives.
