Hi I'm Jonathan

I'm a Mormon. I live here in Philippines. I love sharing the gospel and helping people. I'm grateful for being a LDS member.

About Me

I belong to a big but happy family. We are nine in our family. I am the fourth and eldest son. I am now preparing myself to go on a mission. This is the Missionary Work in our church. My life's trend is by tradition. House chores I put dedication. I am committed in the service of God. Serve Him with all my heart, might, mind and strength. I love helping people. I love sharing the restored gospel. I am interested in arts and sports. I love dancing and listening church's musics.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in covenant. When I was young I really don't know the meaning why I have to be baptized. All I know was, that was what my parents asked me to do. But now, I realized for which the things I am doing. I have understood the covenant I made when I was baptize. I learned what being a Mormon is. I testify that this is the true and only church of Jesus Christ. Our Father in heaven loves us. He guided us. He knows everyone of us. He has a plan for each of His sons and daughters. He knows what is the better for us. He wants us to be happy. He gave His Son, Jesus Christ to atone for our sins. I am thankful for the Atoning Sacrifice of Jesus Christ. This, helps my life to overcome challenges and to continue the life of being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Me, my sisters and my brothers, we grew up in the church. As I growing up in the church I learned to build my faith and to have my testimony. This faith motivates me to be strong in life and to fulfill my purposes here on mortal life. I am still learning things that can help my faith. I live my faith through stay active in the church, doing my responsibilities as a priesthood holder, perform my duty as a ward missionary and abiding myself into righteous things for me to always remember Jesus Christ. I am doing my best to keep His commandments.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus Christ really lived, that He was and is God’s Son. It contains the writings of ancient prophets. One of these, Lehi, lived in Jerusalem around 600 B.C. God commanded Lehi to lead a small group of people to the American continent. There they became a great civilization. God continued to call prophets among these people. The Book of Mormon is a collection of the writings of their prophets and record keepers. It is named after Mormon, one of the last of these ancient prophets. These prophets knew about Heavenly Father’s plan for His children and the mission of Jesus Christ. They recorded that Christ appeared, after His Resurrection, to the people in America, taught them His gospel, and formed His Church among them. The book contains the teachings of Jesus Christ, testifying of His Atonement and His love. It supports and verifies the Bible. The Book of Mormon concludes with a great promise that those who read it and sincerely pray about it can know by the Holy Ghost that it is true (Moroni 10:4). Show more Show less
