Hi I'm Jarred

I'm a regular person with a regular life. I work hard for my family and to help others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father of 4 fun children. I enjoy spending time with my family and seeing the excitement the kids get from the simplest things in life. I have a degree in Finance, a minor in Spanish Business and a Masters in Business Administration. I've been blessed to work for a company that takes good care of me and my family. Outside of family and work, I really enjoy gardening. I find it both relaxing and fulfilling to see plants grow from a small seed, progress through their life cycle and produce fruit for me and others to enjoy. I also enjoy traveling to other countries and coming to some appreciation for the people, their culture and their especially their food!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka The Mormon Church). Since I was young, I believed the things taught by my parents and teachers in the gospel. I was also taught from the time I was young that knowledge of truth comes from God and I was taught to seek my own witness of the truth. I have sought that witness from our Heavenly Father and have received His answer. It is a great blessing to me to know that I can rely on God, if I ask with sincerity and faith, to witness to me what is true and right. I have sought and received that testimony to know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, that Bible is true, that the Book of Mormon is true, that the fulness of the gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, and that God continues to speak to us today, both directly and through His prophets.

How I live my faith

I'm active in my faith and enjoy serving others in any way the Lord can use me. I was recently a scoutmaster for seven years where I worked with the 12-13 year old youth in our congregation. Now I help to lead the men's group which has a special focus on strengthening us in our roles as husbands and fathers in order to build stronger families. I try to find ways to lift others up and to testify of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and of His Gospel in all appropriate occasions. I have found great hope through Him and enjoy sharing that hope with others. To learn more of His plan for us, I study from the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon regularly. I try to live by the principles taught in them and kneel in prayer daily by myself and with my family and feel the comfort, strength and direction of a loving Heavenly Father.
