Hi I'm Sadie Hannig

I am a college student, dance and gymnastic teacher, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live in Utah and I am your average college student. I struggle to find enough time in the day for college, homework, work, and other activities that I enjoy. When I can, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. My family loves to go camping, spend time at our cabin, and travel. I have big dreams and I a love for life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to be raised in a family where the gospel was the center of our home. We had family prayer, family scripture study, and family home evening, and I am so grateful for my parent’s testimony and the way they raised me. I’m not necessarily a convert to the church, but I have been converted. I have a testimony of this church, it didn't come through a single event, but much rather small and simple things over a period of time. I gained my own testimony by reading and studying the Book of Mormon every night, praying to my Heavenly Father, and attending church. Through each of these small acts of faith I have been able to feel the Holy Ghost tell me these things are true. I have prayed about the Book of Mormon and the Holy Ghost testified to me it is true book and is written for this day and age. I know that Joseph Smith really saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and restored this true gospel, and he was a true prophet. I know that our current prophet, Thomas S. Monson was called by God to lead and direct the church in these latter-days. I have a strong testimony of the Atonement and that Jesus Christ suffered for all the sins of the world, and that through the Atonement we can be forgiven of our sins and made clean again. I also know that the Atonement isn’t just for our sins. Jesus Christ felt our afflictions, sorrows, sicknesses, temptations, weaknesses. He suffered for all those things so that He would know how to succor us. All we have to do is ask for His help. He won’t take away our trials, but give us the strength the endure them. Our Heavenly Father knows each of us on a personal level, and is intimately aware of our needs. He longs to hear from us as we pray to Him and He answers our prayers. I have a strong testimony of the Plan of Salvation and of eternal families. I know that through the sealing power, families can be together forever. I know this is the true church, and is the only place where we will be able to find true joy in this life.

How I live my faith

I love this gospel and the joy it brings to me as I live it. I try to find ways I can serve my friends, family, and even strangers as I go throughout my day. I have recently been assigned to serve in the Tallahassee Florida mission and I am so excited to share the joy and peace the gospel has brought me through out my life. I find myself happiest when I serve others.
