Hi I'm Jon Facer

I'm from Tennessee, I love the outdoors, ice cream, and my family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the fourth of five boys in my family. I love spending time with them doing things like wakeboarding, fishing, woodworking, playing games, snowboarding, and ping pong. I played basketball and football in high school and I have taken my talents to Provo, Utah as an intramural athlete. I am taking a two year break from college to serve a mission in Taiwan.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm blessed to have parents that have taught me gospel principles and standards from a young age, but at a certain point everybody is forced to make the decision for themselves whether or not they will follow Christ and put in the work necessary to personally gain a testimony of Him. As I grew up I began to decide for myself the course that I wanted my life to take. I know that by following the commandments given by both ancient and modern day prophets we can find joy in our actions. I have found that gaining a testimony of Jesus Christ and his gospel is a very active and continuous process. I have felt the difference between the times I am seeking him through scriptures and prayer and the times I am content with my current spiritual state. The gospel and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is all about improving yourself continually to the point where you can use your testimony to help others gain their own. This is a big reason I am going on my mission, I am so grateful that I have been given the opportunity to be a part of this restored church and hope to provide others with that same opportunity, both while on my mission and in my daily life.

How I live my faith

One way I try to live my faith is by seeking out and helping others in need. I know I cannot repay my Father in Heaven for all he's given me, but as I share my talents and serve others I can show gratitude for all the blessings I have received.
