Hi I'm Jason Hailes

I'm 18 years old and have grown up in a small town in Utah. I will be serving as a missionary in Norway for two years.

About Me

I am 18 years old and I live in a smaller town in Utah of about 4,000 people. I recently graduated high school, and I will be serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Norway, leaving . I love spending time with my family. I have four older sisters who have picked on me since day one, but I still love spending time with all of them. I love hanging out with my friends, and we all love going fishing and hunting, so we go pretty frequently. I love playing tennis and golf, and I played both sports in high school. I also enjoy getting together with my friends an playing Xbox. I will be going to college

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of Jesus Christ's church. It is not always easy to obey every commandment in this church, but through my obedience I receive SO many blessings. I know that this is the true church on the earth today, restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that through the power of God, Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ, and that by abiding by its precepts, we will get closer to God. No good mad would write it, and no evil man would, unless it were true, and he were commanded of God to do so. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet on the Earth today, and that he receives direct revelation from God. I know our Savior Jesus Christ suffered an infinite and individual atonement, and that salvation comes in and through His atonement, and in no other way. We all make mistakes, but because of the Atonement we can be forgiven and make it home to our Father in Heaven someday.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be my best self, and continually strive to develop my Christ-like attributes. I love serving those around me, and I actively participate in service projects in my ward. I feel so accomplished when I help someone in need! I enjoy hometeaching with my dad, and I always learn a lot from my experiences.
