Hi I'm Alyson Tilby

I'm a missionary in Canada. I love theatre, books, soccer, and camping in the mountains. I'm the youngest of 6 kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised in Ogden. When I was home, I loved to read, listen to music, and play soccer. In high school, I was involved in Theatre and spent all of my free time there. My favorite musical is Beauty and the Beast and my favorite play is Exit. I am the youngest child of 6. I have 4 older brothers who are all married with kids and one older sister. My family and I love to go camping and spend time in nature. I love spending time with my parents, my siblings, my nieces, and my nephews. I grew up in the church and am currently serving in the Canada, Winnipeg Mission. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints means everything to me and I love this church with my whole self!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that this church is the true church on the earth. I know the power of the priesthood is real and that it can bless lives. The peace and guidance that I receive each day as I try my best is overwhelmingly beautiful. I know our Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers. He guides us through this life and helps us live to our full potential. Because my Heavenly Father loves me, He sent his son Jesus Christ to suffer for my sins along with the sins of the world. He did this so everyone would have the opportunity to return to Him and I know this with all of my heart. Jesus Christ lives and loves us. He knows everything that we have gone through and everything that we will ever go through. He does not leave us alone, He is always there. Jesus willingly came down so that I could be forgiven of all of my mistakes. This church has made me into the person I am.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of my church in everyday life. I attend all of my church meetings weekly on Sundays. I take part in activities on weeknights, some of which I have helped to plan. I go to conferences where I learn how to strengthen my testimony and share the gospel. I am setting aside 18 months of my life to serve the people in Canada on a mission. I regularly participate in any and all service that I can, for whoever is in need.
