Hi I'm Emily

I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, a student, an outdoor enthusiast, an avid reader, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a small town girl from California. I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My family is the most important thing in the world to me. We have had so many adventures, especially outdoors. We water-ski, we raft, we hike, we camp, and we have so much fun! I love to read; it is important to me to be well-read. I read everything from the Wall Street Journal to Les Miserables to Lord of the Rings. I am a college student struggling through Multivariable Calculus, and striving for a degree in civil engineering because I want to be able to make a difference and help people some day. I have been called to serve as a missionary for the church in Minnesota, to teach the people there in Spanish. I have many friends and family members serving missions, and I am excited to also share what I know to be true with the people in Minnesota. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me so much happiness, and I want other people to feel the happiness that I have experienced.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through the church I have learned for myself that God loves each of us on an individual and personal level. I know for an absolute fact that families will be together for eternity, there is no other way that it could be, because I love them so much. The first thing that I knew that led me to live the gospel is that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, he saw the Father and the Son in a vision, and he translated the Book of Mormon. These three things have been the foundation for what I believe and are the reasons that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching others about the gospel. Within the church I teach some of the women abut the doctrine of Jesus Christ. I have also been preparing to serve a mission, which helps me to improve my teaching by living my faith.
