Hi I'm Camille B.

Yes I am a Mormon, and I Live it and Love it!!! :D

About Me

I am your typical girl from Idaho. (No I'm not a farm girl, and yes I know what cable is). I am your average city girl, a ballroom dancer classically trained in Ballet, as well as older sister, middle child, and closet pianist. On any given day you can find me outside enjoying nature through tennis, cross country runs, or even dancing in rainstorms. I am an avid reader, and currently a student at BYU-I pursuing a degree in Health Sciences. I love to learn as well as help those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, not because of my parents beliefs, but because I want to be a follower of Christ. I live the way I do, sacrifice the things I do, as well as devote my life and time to my religious beliefs because being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, has been the most fulfilling religion to be apart of. I can, and do, live my lifestyle because that is what the church is, a lifestyle, not a Sunday event, or a once a year festivity. Living as a Mormon has made me the happiest person I can be. I am free from addiction, have a healthy body, and have been blessed beyond my capacity because of my simple decision to become a disciple of Christ and take upon His name.

How I live my faith

Right now I am a college student, and so I have been able to serve in a college ward, where I was able to be apart of a plannings committee. In this committee we were able to plan small gatherings with all of the ladies in the ward, and chat over cupcakes and punch. This was such a simple calling, but I loved it because I was able to meet wonderful women, and work side by side with them to bring other ladies together to strengthen and uplift each other.

What is the difference between attending a church and attending a temple?

Camille B.
Churches in the LDS Faith are places where members, friends and families, as well as visitors can come every week to worship and learn of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. These buildings are dedicated places for learning and weekly gatherings of the people. Our temples are our sacred buildings, where worthy members can go to receive personal answers to their questions as well as to receive sacred ordinances for the rest of their life. Because temples are the "house of the Lord," only those who are members and live to the highest standards are able to go so that the temples are respected and kept sacred. I like to think of temples as the places that require the willy wonka golden tickets because alike to the chocolate factory, temples are special places that require special permission to go inside. What is being a Mormon like?

Camille B.
Being a Mormon is like learning to fly a plane. It seems complicated at first, but once you learn the principles and basic truths of the gospel, and apply them to your life, you learn how to fly your plane and won't even realize you are sailing through the clouds and the glistening sunshine. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is wonderful and even though life is not easy, the gospel makes life ten times more bearable and beautiful. Show more Show less
