Hi I'm Shelby

I am a full-time student, Radiology Technician, wife to an amazing man. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, majoring in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. I have lived in Utah my entire life. I am married to my best friend. I am a Radiology Technician at a local hospital. I love the beautiful state I live in and love to be outdoors enjoying the sunshine.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been fortunate enough to grow up in the LDS religion. I do know that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I have never had any reason to believe that the gospel is not true. It’s something that I feel in my heart is right. My testimony of this gospel has blessed me and brought so much happiness into my life. I know that Heavenly Father is there. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for us, and that is one thing that I never want to take for granted. One of the greatest blessings we have in this life is the Atonement. No matter how far away we’ve fallen or how many mistakes we make in this life, we are able to erase them all and be forgiven. That is truly one of the most comforting things to know. No matter how far away we fall, God still loves us. I have found that in my biggest mistakes and hardest times my testimony has grown the strongest. I have felt the love that my Heavenly Father has for his children. The first time I read the Book of Mormon it brought such a great comfort and understanding into my life. It amazed me how the principles in a book written so long ago can apply to us today. There is so much guidance and truth inside. The Book of Mormon truly has the power to make miracles happen. I’ve seen people that I love fall into the deepest pits, their lowest of lows. I’ve seen them question God and this gospel. And I watched as they eventually hit rock bottom. A situation that should have been almost impossible to come back from became easy when the Book of Mormon was implemented into their life. The Book of Mormon and the love of our Heavenly Father have the power to change your life. I know that this gospel is true and I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and I know without a doubt that he loves you.

How I live my faith

My husband and I currently teach 15-16 year olds in our ward. We love learning from them each and every time we teach. They have such great insight to the world around them. My own understanding of my faith has grown greatly from preparing and teaching these lessons each week. I also strive to pray and reach my scriptures each day, which in turn helps my testimony of Jesus Christ and this gospel grow.
