Hi I'm Trent

I'm a cowboy from Idaho, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Trent I grew up on a ranch in south eastern Idaho. I'm the youngest of 5 siblings. I love to play all sports but I mainly played baseball and then decided to give rodeo a try my senior year of high school in the bull riding event! I love just about everything in the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, dirt bikes, snow machines etc... if it has 4 legs or a motor I probably ride it! I'm an Eagle Scout thanks to my leaders for a lot of help and encouragement! I'm currently serving a 2 year mission in middle Tennessee and Kentucky and have loved it! My plans for after my mission is to go to college for Agricultural Economics, and then hopefully just be a cowboy, and be able to afford raising a family and everything love to do! #TheDream

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where my mom has always been a strong member of the church, but my dad and 2 brothers who were at home were not! Every Sunday my mom would invite us all to come with her to church and usually made me, but my dad and brothers wouldn't go. So as I got a little older my mom wouldn't necessarily make me go. She would still invite us all every Sunday to come with her, but I had to choose hangout and watch TV, or go hunting or something fun or go to church, and even though I still would go I chose the latter one a lot of the time! It was in early high school where the friends I ran around with were the bad kids I guess would be the label! We were off doing things that weren't good and definitely went against what most of what we had been taught at Church! It was around halfway through my sophomore year of high school where i started looking at my siblings lives, (and me being the youngest by quite a few years) could see the difference in their lives from if they were living the gospel, compared to if they were not! It was then that I realized that what we were doing was not going to have any good effects in the future so I decided to stop hanging out with that group of friends. I was basically a loner for a few weeks after that until a girl from school invited me to come watch a movie at her house with a bunch of kids (who would be the good kids). I went and had a lot of fun and became great friends with a lot of those guys and started turning my life around. So a year later I had went to get my brothers truck and his wife and I had got to talking and she said that I seem a lot happier now and that I had changed! And that hit me hard and I thought a lot about it and realized I was because I had the Spirit in my life now and had a new hope on life! And it all started from looking to the examples of good in my life and a girls invitation to come watch a movie that changed the course of my life!

How I live my faith

I was taught to always help others from a young age, and that's what you do as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have grown to love those strong active members of the church because there is something different about them! Whether it is how they treat or speak to others, or how they handle the challenges of life! After learning the doctrine behind our beliefs I now realize that it is because of the knowledge we have of God's plan for us, and the peace it brings to those who have come to know that it is true!
