Hi I'm Adam

I'm a Mormon, of course. I am a fourteen year old who has been excited to make one of these accounts since I was 12.

About Me

My favorite things to do are listen to music, play my drumset and other percussion instruments, play video games, go to movies, other teenage things. I'm single of course and I want to go to USU (Utah State University) and become something with sound engineering for probably video games. Make the music for video games. I love everything nerdy and Disney. I love TMNT, Marvel, DC, and other cool things.

Why I am a Mormon

Well besides being born into the Church, I have prayed hard about if this Church is true and read the scriptures and found out for myself that it is true. Now I don't have to use other's testimonies and use my own.

How I live my faith

I am a 14 year old so I am a teacher (14 to 15 year olds) in my ward. It is really fun and we do lots of activities building our faith with the other youth. It is tons of fun. I go hometeaching with my fellow ward member who is really cool. He has cool stories.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No, we don't anymore. There was once a time, in the 1800's when some Mormon's practiced polygamy, but now we don't. We believe in one wife. Other times in history that polygamy was allowed was back in Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, and Solomon's time when they had more than one wife but that was then and this is now. What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

In order for us to return to our loving Heavenly Father (God) we needed a Savior. That was Jesus Christ's role on the earth. He knew that it was necessary for us to return to Heavenly Father when we die and are resurrected, but because none of us are perfect, except Christ, he had to have the Atonement. The Atonement is the time in history when Jesus Christ went to the Garden of Gethsemane and prayed to his Father (and our Heavenly Father) that we may be able to repent. He went through all the pains that we have. He "bled from every pore." He suffered so we wouldn't have too. Show more Show less

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Joseph Smith the prophet founded The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was our first latter-day prophet. Joseph Smith prayed to know which Church is true and Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ came to him in the first vision and told him that none of the Churches at the time were true. He then had another vision where he was taught about the Book of Mormon. Some years later he started translating it. He finished years later and translated other scriptures as well. He was killed in Liberty Jail. The Church has grown since he founded it while translating the scriptures. Show more Show less

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

We have the welfare services for those that are in need of help. If you or a loved one who has the income loses a job, dies, loses a lot of money, is seriously injured, etc. the welfare system is there to help because you are in need of it, but you're not supposed to just rely on this for the rest of your life. You're encouraged to work again and try to be self-reliant. Show more Show less
