Hi I'm Vicki

I grew up in Driggs, Idaho. I took my 4-H steer to the state fair, winning 3rd place. I am my children's best cheerleader!

About Me

I graduated from BYU and have my RN. I am a wife and mother of 6 children and 21 grandchildren. My family is my greatest joy. I love watching my children and now my grandchildren perform in their various activities . I love to travel and see new places. I love to hike and see wildlife in their natural settings. I love serving. I love to find fun things to do that are free! I love getting senior discounts! I love the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Even as a small child, I have always wanted to "do what is right". Being kind to others, obeying my parents, being a good friend, and obeying the commandments of the Lord. I knew that becoming a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, was a commandment that I needed to do, so at the age of 8 I was baptized by my Grandpa Cole and then confirmed by my Grandpa Larson. In my small mind I knew that was right, but as I got older and was a Junior in High School, I was asked to be on a youth leadership council. Part of our responsibility was to speak each month in the different local congregations throughout the valley. As I bore testimony frequently to others, I felt my testimony become stronger and stronger. I recognized the Lord's hand in my life and the daily answers to prayers received. I have had many trials, as most people do, in my life, and I have felt the Lord's comfort and help through all of them. One particular time when my father was killed in a car accident, I questioned my testimony. Only a few months after his death, we took a trip to visit. the Church History sites in New York. I prayed just before we went to see the home that Joseph Smith received his visit from the Angel Moroni, that I would know if Joseph Smith was a true prophet and if the Church was indeed true. While in the room where Joseph Smith received his visit from the Angel Moroni, the Holy Ghost bore a strong witness to me that this is all true. I know it with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I have worked with children from 3 to 12, and from 12 to 18. Teaching them lessons about Jesus and how to be like Him. I have worked with ladies in a smaller setting and also in a larger setting. Teaching them how to live as Christ would have us do, how to serve others and their families, and develope faith in Christ. I have organized activities for a church party and also for larger community celebrations. I do my best at whatever I am called to do because I know the Lord witl strengthen me and help me. We try frequently to volunteeer to serve others whether it is in the community or in our Church.
