Hi I'm Abbey Swenson

I'm from Logan, Utah. I'm currently attending snow college. I am a future missionary & I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an adventure enthusiast, a dreamer, and I love to travel. I love anything outdoors, including hiking, camping, biking, and rafting. I am currently a student in college, majoring in secondary education. I love spending time with my friends, and my family. I am currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I am going to the Oklahoma City mission, Spanish-Speaking.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have come to know that the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. It brings me so much happiness, and joy. It gives me such direction, and hope in my life. I had always grown up reading the Book of Mormon, and I loved it, however up until my senior year of high school, I hadn't really studied and prayed for myself to know if it was true. I went through a rough patch where I had a lot of things going on, and I felt like nothing was working out right. So, I went in my bedroom, I kneeled down, and I prayed to know that The Book of Mormon was true. Then, I began reading, and studying the scriptures. All of a sudden, as I was reading, the spirit hit me, and I began cry. Because I knew. I had received my answer. I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the book that I was holding was true. I felt peace, and slowly my stresses, and worries began to be lifted. Things started working out for my own good, maybe they didn't work out the way I wanted them to, or I expected them too, but they worked out for the best. From that moment on, I knew for myself that it was, and is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the way that I live. I have held many callings, including being a part of a youth presidency, and being a youth leader in various youth camps put on by our church. I am currently a family home evening group leader, and I help plan activities for various young single adults. I am currently preparing to serve a 1 1/2 year mission in Oklahoma.
