Hi I'm Brandon Cruz

I'm Mexican, a Convert , and a current full time missionary in the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Mission!

About Me

I was born in Mexico, but as a child i was raised in Virginia. I am 19 and the youngest of two brothers. My mother and I are the only two members in my family who are members of the church. I love to be athletically active, although my main passion is of course: Soccer! Some of my favorite hobbies/things include doing service, camping, hanging out with friends, watching movies, and spending time con mi familia. Currently I am called to speak Spanish, my native language, in The Philadelphia, Pennsyvania Mission! (Sept 2014 - Sept 2016) After my 2 years of service, I plan to continue working construction as I work towards becoming a certified welder and continuing on my path to become a civil engineer, a private company owner, and a Father to an Eternal Family.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up i was not blessed to have the gospel in my life which resulted in many mistakes and trails, having no purpose and only seeing life through a worldy perspective. But as many converts of the church i was taught the gospel thanks to a friend and 2 sister missionaries. Now i am able to see the blessing that come into my life as i continually develope faith through keeping the covenants i made at baptism. I am a Member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints (mormon), because i have truly and sincerely read the Book of mormon and prayed to know if it is true. And knowing that God answered my prayer through the promptings of the holy ghost i have chosen to always act upon my knowledge of the divinty and authenticity of this book and the principals that are taught whithin. Moroni 10: 3-6

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the basic teachings of the Savior. I am in the service of others for 2 years of my life to fully dedicate my time to the Lord, and by "turning outward". I have come to see that the best way to live my faith is through charity: which is the pure love of Christ, something that i can continually try to develope and help wax strong. I live my faith by helping others come to know of the truthfullness of the Restored Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints and the Book Of Mormon which is another testimony/ witness that Jesus Christ is, was, and will always be the Savior and Redeemer.

What are Mormon temples used for?

Brandon Cruz
Temples are a blessing they are sanctuaries from the things of this world, a temple is the house of the lord where we are able to receive many more blessings. Some of these blessings include being sealed to your spouse which binds both husband & wife in a special two way promise with our Heavenly Father. A promise that we will be an eternal family if we remain obedient to the commandments and special covenants we have made (Malachi 4: 5-6). Another blessing is performing baptismal ordinance for those who have passed away and did not have the opportunity to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 4:6) Show more Show less
