Hi I'm Ashley

I grew up in Utah. I'm serving a mission this summer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to college and loving it. I love doing anything outdoors when it's warm outside. I can just sit outside in the sun and be perfectly happy. I'm obsessed with traveling and seeing new places. I've traveled to Guatemala to work with students attending a small school. I helped them learn how to start a business, hygiene and about my culture. I've traveled all over Europe learning about the art history that is there. I'm incredibly blessed and excited to be able to serve a full-time mission this coming summer.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up being in the LDS church. When I was young, I went to church because it was what I was taught to do by my parents. I've always knew this gospel was true and that it made me and my family happy. However, when I moved out and went to college, that is when my testimony grew the most. I learned that this gospel is the one thing that makes me feel happy all the time when I am doing my best at keeping the commandments. My testimony has grown immensely as I have been attending church, reading the scriptures, going to the temple, praying with a sincere heart and following Christ. I continue to follow His gospel because I know without a doubt that it is true. His gospel is the only way to return back to Heavenly Father, back to where we were first created. His gospel is the only way we can be forgiven of our past mistakes and feel the guilt and shame wipe away from us. His gospel is the only way we can live with our families for eternity and be completely happy forever. I love this gospel and I don't want to think about where I would be without it. I have chosen to be a part of His church because without Christ, I am nothing. Without His gospel, I feel lost. It is a blessing to know that my family is forever, that I can pray to Heavenly Father all the time and he will answer my prayers and that my sins and past mistakes can be wiped away forever if I repent and submit to His will and follow Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to others around me. I currently have a calling in my ward where I get to help organize church events and be in charge of the girls in our ward. I have the blessing to be able to visit teach two young women in my ward and be able to get to know them and share our beliefs with one another.
