Hi I'm Jourdan

Half my life I grew up in California and the other half in Utah. I am serving my mission in Toronto, Canada. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love pretty much anything that has to do with art, music, or swimming. Growing up, I would sneak into my grandma's art studio and look at everything she created and loved it! I thought it was so cool, how she could start with just a blank canvas and some paint and turn it into something beautiful. I decided that I wanted to be able to do that too. As I got into it, I fell in love with all the different mediums such as sculpting, sketching, and photography. Music has always been a part of my life too. When I was little, my dad would come home from work and tuck my older sister and I into bed. Then he would sing to us until we would fall asleep, or until he would fall asleep on the floor. So music has always been a comfort to me as well. And swimming is just plain old FUN! It's nice, relaxing, and a very good stress reliever. More than all of that, I love my family! I just LOVE spending time with them. Whether we are boating with my extended family, or just sitting at home watching a movie. I'm so excited to know that I get to be with them FOREVER! Not just til the end of our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I am so grateful for that. When I was younger I had lost a lot of people very close to me, and that's when I wanted to know for myself if any of this was true. I prayed and asked God if He was even there. I felt comforted at a time when I thought no one could understand what I was going through. I've since read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if that was true. And it is. Now have the opportunity to share that with the people in the Canada Toronto Mission, where I have seen the message of the restored gospel change people's lives for the better. We invite them to do what I did, to read and pray to know if it's true. And if they ask with real intent the answer is always the same. The gospel of Jesus Christ truly has been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, continues to live on through living prophets, and will stay here until the second coming of the Messiah.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the Canada Toronto mission.
