Hi I'm Samantha Kate

I was born and raised in North Carolina with two older brothers.I love to laugh and be happy! I am a proud Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of three and I come from two loving parents. I enjoy playing piano and ukulele. My favorite sport is soccer and I am a goalkeeper. Sometimes I can be a real fashionista but other times I enjoy lounging around in jeans and a T-shirt. I am currently going to an Early College High School which is a program that allows you to graduate high school with a 2 year associates degree in science or arts. From there, I plan on attending a university and eventually have a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel so much! When I feast upon the words of Christ, I can feel my testimony strengthen with each and every word I study. I often find myself highlighting whole pages in my scriptures because of the truthfulness and importance of it all. I know that what I am learning is true because I can feel it through the Holy Ghost and the small promptings that the Holy Ghost gives me. If I were not a member of The Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints, I would not be nearly as happy as I am today and I would not be who I am today. Each and every Sunday, the Young Women in church stand up and we recite the Young Women Theme which states: WE ARE DAUGHTERS of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and we love Him. WE WILL “STAND as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places” (Mosiah 18:9) as we strive to live the Young Women values, which are: Faith • Divine Nature • Individual Worth • Knowledge • Choice and Accountability • Good Works • Integrity • and Virtue WE BELIEVE as we come to accept and act upon these values, WE WILL BE PREPARED to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, receive the ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation. These words are so comforting to me and I am so blessed to have this Gospel in my life because I know the truth!

How I live my faith

I enjoy helping others who need a hand because the church has taught me how to love and enjoy service projects. I am currently my branch's pianist even though I am still developing my talent. I go with the other youth in my branch to preform service projects to those in our small community. I also try to be an example to those around me by living the standards that I have learned through my family and through church.
