Hi I'm Robin

I was born in South Africa and immigrated to Canada in 1997. I've been married for 29 years, I'm a businessman, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been an entrepreneur for 28 years. We love living in Beautiful British Columbia. I love reading, cycling, working with my business associates, and, most of all, spending time with my beautiful wife.

Why I am a Mormon

From a young age, I was always religious to a greater of lesser degree. I went to a Bible College, taught, preached, worked with churches, but always felt disappointed. I tried other religions, fraternity organizations, and philosophies, always searching for people who lived what they taught and professed, searching for a real brotherhood. Eventually, I became an Atheist. But through the years, every Mormon I met in business (we're not all perfect, I guess I was just lucky) displayed an amazing work ethic, integrity, humility, and the values that I believed in. I researched LDS and read books and asked Mormons questions for two years before attending the church, and finally, in November, 2013, we joined the church. Instead of being disillusioned, it just got better and better, and I thank God for his patience, loyalty, faithfulness, and guidance. It is a privilege to be a Member of this church and I wish I had joined when I was much younger. It is a true brotherhood of truly committed people who live their faith; a real family.

How I live my faith

Our biggest concern when we came to live in North America was finding people who shared our values, and we found those people in our church in 2013. We enjoy going to church and Temple, and participating in church activities. I teach Sunday School to 12 year old and love it.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Workers in our church serve to serve Christ. There is no politics or personal empire building here. I stand amazed at how hard our Bishops and Presidents and leaders work, and their satisfaction is serving Christ and mankind. Show more Show less
