Hi I'm Rachel Wilkinson

I grew up in Orem, Utah. I am an artist and I love to create things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with a large family, seven brothers and three sisters. There are six younger than me and four older. Growing up with a large family is a lot of fun, but is A LOT of work. I consider myself very lucky! Out of my ten siblings, I get along best with my younger brother, who is autistic. He has the mentality of a 4 year old, and as a result, he requires extra care. He is wonderful. He has taught me more patience, love, and kindness than I have taught him in his 12 years. One of our favorite things to do together, is pray, he loves to thank God for each of his family members. He has inspired me as an artist, he also loves to draw. I find that when I am closer to my family and closer to my God, I have the greatest blessings and success that bring a sense of gratitude and peace to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found ultimate joy and peace when I live by the principles of this gospel. God has made promises to us, and if we willingly accept and apply this gospel to our lives, the blessings we will receive are beautiful and amazing. I love this gospel, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings each Sunday, support family home evening on Monday nights, and listen to the counsel of the prophet and the teachings of the apostles. Because I believe that our bodies our gifts from God, I refrain from consuming substances that may be harmful or unhealthy to my body. When I listen to music that is uplifting and clean, I feel the blessings of the spirit in my life. I try to avoid films or certain types of entertainment that may be offensive to the spirit. I avoid all horror films because I have felt the absence of the spirit when watching them. This is how I protect my testimony, and live my faith.
