Hi I'm Johnny

Born in Indiana, moved to beautiful Wyoming. About to serve the wonderful people of the Netherlands. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello everyone! I recently was in college at BYU-Idaho but am now off semeseter and waiting to leave on my Mission! I have many interests, one of which is learning languages and different cultures! This was most likely sparked by my excessive traveling as a young child, the most of which I don't remember but the parts I do I absolutely loved! I also, like any guy from Wyoming, love to be outdoors either dirtbiking, horse riding, hiking, or even just sitting on a rock reading!

Why I am a Mormon

There is a simple answer to why I joined His Church - receiving a testimony from the Holy Ghost that this is the true and restored Church upon the earth. I believe with all my heart that this is His Church and that it can bring great happiness to a person's life! Before I became a member I was very skeptical about religion in general but specifically this church because of the many rumors that those against the Church have initiated. So when I was invited to go to Church by my best friend I was skeptical - but I went. After a few months I decided to meet with the Missionaries. I decided to try my best to find the faults of the Church, the inconsistencies, and just anything that would prove the Church to be false. I figured that would be easier than trying to prove the Church to be true. The thing is, no such material prevailed. Finally, I decided to kneel down and pray to know if the Church were true. I got my answer and because of that answer I believe with all my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I urge those that are non-members to do the same as me, kneel down and ask our Eternal Father if the things you read in the Book of Mormon are true and I promise you, you will receive your answer.

How I live my faith

Well, I am a recent convert to the Church so I don't have much background in holding Church Callings; however, I live my faith everyday. Our religion is one that is known for not being a "Sunday only religion." I live by that. I try to find as many opportunities as possible to do service and spread God's love for his Children - whether that be helping a friend clean their yard, inviting someone to Church, or just listening to someone's problems.
