Hi I'm Lavonne

I grew up in Idaho as a fifth generation Mormon. My great-great grandparents joined the church in Europe, then came to America.

About Me

I enjoy being a wife, a mother of four, and a grandmother of 12. In my twenties I left college after three years to allow my husband to finish his degree first. I enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom. Then after my children were mostly raised, I was able to return to campus to finish my degree in human development. I owned and managed a wedding reception business with my husband for several years. Our children helped us run the business. We've sold it and are now preparing to serve as LDS missionaries next month.

Why I am a Mormon

I received a gift of faith when I was a young child, and since then the Holy Ghost has influenced my personality and my decisions. The example of my parents and my ancestors have strengthened me throughout my life. I am grateful for my understanding of God's love for me and for the blessings He has so freely given to me, including the Atonement of His Son, Jesus Christ. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me great peace and happiness throughout my life.

How I live my faith

I have loved serving in our church since I was 14 when I was asked to accompany the children on the piano. As I grew up, I served as an organist for the many different congregations I belonged to. I have enjoyed serving as a leader and a teacher of children, adults, and especially the women of our church.
