Hi I'm Steven

I'm from Vancouver, Canada. I sing, play the drums, and the piano. I'm serving in the Canada, Winnipeg Mission, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in British Columbia, I studied at Utah Valley University for 3 semesters before heading out to Winnipeg, Canada to serve a full-time mission! I love to play drums and sing. My family has people of many different faiths. I have a 16 year old brother, and a 13 year old sister. I have a Boston Terrier named Brodey. I`ve been a member of the church my whole life, and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me better. Everything the church teaches is there to help us become better. There is nothing taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints that does not promote improvement, whether that improvement be physical, mental, or spiritual. I have become a better person by faithfully living the teachings and guidelines of this church. "The whole idea of Mormonism is improvement—mentally, physically, morally and spiritually." (Lorenzo Snow). That's why I'm a Mormon. Because I'm not perfect, but I want to become better.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through action! One of my favorite scriptures is in James 2:18 "...shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works." As a missionary, all we do is work! I know that acting on faith, however grand or discrete the act may be, leads to countless blessings. And I would encourage you to try it!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

The only reason we as missionaries proselyte is in the hopes that we can help even a single person come closer to Jesus Christ through faith in him and his atonement, making changes for the better, being baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority of God, receiving the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost, and by enduring to the end. We do it because we care. Show more Show less
