Hi I'm Cindi

I'm a daughter, granddaughter, sister, wife and a child of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I do not stand out from a crowd. I am just a normal, typical woman who loves her family and lives her life in the daily grind of job and household responsibilities. I enjoy indoor and outdoor activities alike and enjoy having good conversations with others. Pretty boring right? But I would never change anything in my life. I look forward to the day when my husband and I can start a family of our own and continue doing the mundane and wondrous tasks of daily life.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings of our Savior are pure and simple. He has asked us to love God and love our fellow man. All other responsibilities, commandments and obligations are second only to these two great commandments. I have been blessed with so much in my life and my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ ask so little. I can sacrifice all that I am, all that I could be and all that I have to do their will. I am a Mormon because I want to live with my family forever. I am a Mormon because without my Savior's Atonement, I would be nothing: lost, confused, worthless. I am a Mormon because God speaks to His children today and He guides my life through personal revelation and through modern-day prophets. I am a Mormon because I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets and that their words are true. I am a Mormon because I can testify that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he truly saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I have made it through the darkest abyss by drawing closer to my Savior and Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because I have learned for myself that the doctrines and principles taught are true. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints does not entail blind faith. All men, women and children are invited to seek truth and then ask the source of all truth for themselves. God will answer all questions, doubts and fears if those who come to Him are ready to receive His answers. I challenge you to not blindly follow the word of any living man or woman but read and study for yourself and then ask God. He will give you your own witness and you will truly understand why I love my Heavenly Father, why I give so much to Him, why I am joyful in my seemingly mundane and unspectacular life, why I love my Savior, and why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through love: love of God, love of family, love of friends, love of those I serve and love of those who have mistreated me (trust me when I say I still struggle with that last one). I have seen miracles brought about by love. The greatest miracle has been the changing of my own stubborn and willful heart into a compassionate and willing heart. I live my faith by doing what my Heavenly Father has asked me to do. Sometimes I do not enjoy the tasks he has asked of me (like starting this profile for instance) but every time I do His will, I am blessed with greater happiness and purpose. It gives me strength to go farther beyond my comfort zone to do more of His will. I live my faith by trying to be a good example to others and never being afraid to take a chance to share the gospel when I am inspired to share what I know. I live by faith. I do not always understand why I am faced with certain trials but I have faith that God understands and eventually He will help me understand. When I ask or plead with my Heavenly Father for blessings or understanding that I feel I desperately need, those prayers are not always answered in the way I want them to be. But through my faith, I know that He will answer those prayers in the best time for my personal learning and growth. I live my faith everyday by talking to my Heavenly Father through prayer, reading His words in the scriptures, and trying to be more like my Savior Jesus Christ every day.
