Hi I'm Peter

I grew up in Australia. I love playing music.

About Me

I am 23 years old (2015). I've grown up in the Church and come from a family of six. I have a mother, father, two sisters and a brother and I'm the second oldest. After high school I studied music for two and a half years and have worked a couple of jobs since to save money for my mission. I love music, movies and play the guitar and sing a bit in a band. And I love spending time with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I was born into the Church, I've been fortunate enough to always have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. But it also meant that eventually I would have to find out for myself about the truth of the Gospel. It took some time before I received my answer due to my reluctance to ask God with a sincere heart. But once I got my answer, I haven't looked back since. And since then I've been fortunate enough to have had many fantastic experiences which have more fully reinforced my personal testimony of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the prophet Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon and many other things which I have come to know.

How I live my faith

A while ago I decided that I would like to serve a full-time mission. And it seemed as though ever since I made that decision in myself that many great opportunities came up to help me to prepare. I was lucky enough to be paired with a very diligent home teaching companion who taught me the value of ministering and discerning the needs of the families that we visit. I was also called as the Executive Secretary to the Bishop in my Ward which really helped me develop a stronger work ethic and gave me the opportunity to serve the members in my ward in a much more meaningful way than what I had been used to previously. These experiences have given me an even stronger desire to serve. I've been called to the Wellington New Zealand Mission and will leave on the 8th of April 2015.
