Hi I'm Caylee

I am a military brat, advertising student at BYU, lover of TV, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University studying advertising. I am the youngest of four and I love hanging out with my parents, brother, two sisters, and my little dog, Penny. Some of my hobbies include editing videos, singing, being outside, watching TV, reading wikipedia biographies, and listening to music. I don't love to run but I do it anyway in hopes of maybe loving it someday. Other than that, I just love being with friends and having a good time!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me HAPPY. Being born into a Mormon family, I guess I've always been a Mormon but I really started believing in what I was doing when I was 14. Before then, I had felt the spirit and I knew that it was a good feeling but I also knew that living the gospel made me a little bit uncool at my school, and for a middle school aged girl that mattered. I moved before my freshman year of high school and, though it shouldn't have been, it was devastating for me. However, I quickly made friends with the girls in my ward. My real conversion happened as I attended seminary, an LDS religion class before school. I remember being there with my friends, all of us learning the gospel together, and a brilliantly smart and cool teacher and thinking, "Wow, if all of them believe in this, I for sure need to find out if I do." Over the course of my high school years, my testimony of Jesus Christ was strengthened through the wonderful friends that surrounded me and the Atonement which gave me the strength to overcome trials I was faced with. I continue to follow His gospel simply because I am the happiest and best version of myself when I am. I feel like I gain more from life when I live the Gospel. Knowledge of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and knowledge that I am daughter of God is knowledge I would never trade for anything because without it I would be unhappy. In such a complicated world it provides such a constant feeling of peace and possibility.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve a mission in the Brazil, São Paulo south mission. I am excited to serve the people of Brazil for 18 months! I attend church every Sunday because it's such a great way to recharge after a long week and it's nice connecting with the other members so often through church activities.
