Hi I'm Ron

I grew up with six brothers and two sisters. Since seven of the nine children were boys the home was always active. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy interacting with people. The career I just completed was in manufacturing where I was able to work with people and solve problems every day. My hobbies revolve around doing things outdoors. I rode a bicycle from northern British Columbia, Canada to California, USA. I have been big game hunting, camping and hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest. The greatest moments are when I do these things with my family. Five children and 17 grandchildren have been a great blessing in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to become like Jesus Christ. If I follow His teachings I will be happier and closer to Him. A testimony that God sent us to this earth for a reason has always been part of me. Knowing Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died for us is the most important knowledge that I have. The Mormon church is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and offers me the best way possible to become close to Him.

How I live my faith

My goal is to live my faith in such a way that it becomes who I am, not something that I participate in. The things I do and the decisions that I make are based around the principles that I believe. I have spent most of my married life working with youth groups (12-18 years old). Time has been spent each summer with Boy Scouts or at a girls camp. By showing the teenagers and young adults how you live the principles you teach, you can be a better influence. Our children have gone with me to help single mothers with their home maintenance needs or families move or be part of a community service project. I strive to teach our children the things I want them to learn, by doing. I live my faith by trying to do for others.
