Hi I'm Nathan

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I was born and raised in Wasilla, Alaska. Spending much of my youth in the wonderful presence of mountains and Northern Lights, I have always had an appreciation for the outdoors. Always more worried about how much longer play time was with my friends, my needs were simple. As I began to grow into my teenage years, I became very musically inclined, and developed a liking for playing the drums. I've always had a musical family, but I had finally found a musical talent of my own! Playing musical instruments has been a hobby and a passion of mine for a little over five years now, and I couldn't be more thankful for this rockin' gift. With the company of my dad, Ron Johnson, we moved from Alaska to Florida in July of 2012. We have been blessed as well as humbled in many things during our life, from one extreme to the next. I was lucky enough to follow by my Father's example, and prepare to serve a full time mission, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am currently called to serve in the Colorado Colorado Springs Mission! With a grateful heart, and contritde spirit, I accept this Call with much enthusiasm! I have a firm Testimony that my Father in Heaven lives, and watches over me. I believe in His son, Jesus Christ, our Savior, Brother, and Leader brought upon us The Atonement of all our sins. I believe that Joseph Smith restored the true Church, and Translated The Book of Mormon. I believe in our modern day prophet Thomas S. Monson.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born, and raised as a member of the Mormon church. Being raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I often relied on the Testimony of my parents whether or not these gospel principals were true or not. As I grew, I saw the signs of the Truth in my every day to day regular life. Subtle promptings of what at the time, I trusted to be gut feelings spoke to me at times of decision making, and great important changes. As I studied the doctrine of the church, something about it felt familiar, and comfortable. As these promptings began to intensify, I recognized where they came from. More so, what they were. These were the promptings of the Holy Ghost. A companion I have had with me since I was but eight years old. I trust, believe, and love the subtle promptings I get from my true friend. I know that by the power of the Holy priesthood, and through the careful promptings of the Holy Ghost, I can further harken unto the words of my Lord, and by exorcising the Atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live the teachings of our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and the teachings of The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. I do my best to Pray, read the Scriptures, and live the Principals of the commandments, all daily. Following the commandments, and exorcising exact obedience is key to living a spiritual life. Though obedience brings blessings, exact obedience brings miracles. I am a firm believer that by putting work into your faith, and faith into your works, you will begin to feel the fulfillment and sense of purpose that Christ wishes for us to experience. I also believe that The Lord will provide a way through his perfect plan, and perfect gospel if we will but follow it with an attentive mind, open heart, and contrite spirit.
