Hi I'm Kylee

I'm a student from BYU-Idaho currently serving a mission in California. I love having fun, my family, and the gospel-I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Virginia with my parents and three younger brothers. I played field hockey for 11 years, and I am in love with the sport. I enjoy crafts, baking, and cooking. I love to hike, fish, camp, rock climb... anything outdoors, I'll most likely enjoy it. I am currently serving a mission in the Oakland/San Francisco mission, speaking Spanish! I love the gospel and I am so excited to share it with others. I hope to fill the lives of my family, and also all those I come in contact with, by spreading the light of Christ through my words and actions.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was about 8 years old, my family and I took a trip to Palmyra, New York, where Joseph Smith restored the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Although I had grown up in the church, I did not know for myself that the church was true up until that point. In Palmyra, my family and I toured the site of the Sacred Grove. There, I received an overwhelming confirmation from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the Grove, and that the restored gospel, and the Book of Mormon is true. Ever since that experience, I have known without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. This testimony has helped me through everything, including helping me stand up for my beliefs, and I know that it will continue to do so as I strengthen and remember my testimony through my trials and experiences.

How I live my faith

In high school, I had the opportunity of sewing 50 dresses for girls in Africa, and sending them to an organization called Little Dresses for Africa. People donate dresses to this organization and other people volunteer to go distribute the dresses to girls in need of clothes. This experience has blessed my life and has sparked my desire to serve others. Since I was 16 years old, I have wanted to serve a full-time mission, and now I finally get to go on one! I am so excited to share the light and truth of the gospel with the people of California.
