Hi I'm Brittney

I am from Virginia. I am a convert and only member of my family. I am a musician. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was baptized three years ago when I was 15. I am the only member in my family. I play flute and violin, and I love to read. I am currently taking general studies at a community college in Virginia. I am going to attend BYU-Idaho in the Fall and major in Sociology and Human Resources. I like to recycle and learn more about how I can protect the beautiful Earth God has given us. I love to travel and laugh with my family. Most importantly, I love my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at fifteen. My best friend shared the gospel with me and I was baptized six months later. Coming from a Baptist family, it was challenging to explain that I wanted to be baptized. Through much prayer, Heavenly Father helped me to do what was best for me. It is still challenging to share my beliefs with my family, but they accept me and support me no matter what I believe or whether they understand it or not. I am very grateful for that. I know that the Lord knows me personally and that He truly does answer my prayers. He knows what I need and He never leaves me comfortless. Through this gospel, I have been able to find true joy even in the midst of darkness and sorrow. I know that Heavenly Father loves all His children and wants us to be happy. Therefore, as we exercise our faith in Him and in His Son, Jesus Christ, He will give us exactly what we need and pour the blessings of Heaven upon us, even in the midst of inevitable trials. I know that repentance is a very real thing and is a daily process, and that the Atonement is a beautiful, real, and sacred thing that we can all have access too. I know that it changes lives, for it has certainly changed mine.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving two callings in the church. I am the teacher for the 3-4 year old class in my branch. I am also the Personal Progress Advisor for the Young Women. I absolutely love serving the Lord and His precious children. I know that Heavenly Father has a purpose for everyone. I live my faith by actively trying everyday to do what the Savior would do and love as the Savior would love if He were on the Earth today. I know that no one will ever be perfect at that, but I try to be a little better every day. I have a strong testimony of the Atonement and I know that Christ suffered for every single person who has ever lived and ever will live. It is never too late, and you are never too far to receive the healing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
