Hi I'm Cassandra

I grew up in the lovely overcast of Hillsboro, Oregon. I love listening to and making music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from high school as a valedictorian and I've been to a year of college at BYU. I really enjoyed hanging out with friends, as well as being in calculus and women's chorus - though I don't have an idea for my major yet. I love singing and playing the trumpet. I enjoy making things with my hands, like crochet and sewing and drawing. I like finding patterns in things and I write in a journal.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that being a part of this gospel makes me a better person and helps me to live in a way that keeps me safe spiritually and mentally from the aspects of this world that are not of God. Being a part of this gospel has kept me going in some very difficult times. I know that this gospel is true and powerful. It brings peace and hope where sometimes nothing else can. I know that I am a child of God, and that we are all children of a loving, omnipotent God, who created this perfect plan to bring about our eternal happiness. I know that trials are often blessings in disguise and that gratitude in our circumstances is important. I know that there is a power to prayer and daily scripture study and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God delivered by His prophets. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and redeemer, and that he is the reason I can make it back to my Heavenly Father’s presence and be with all of those I love again. The message is beautiful and relevant and I'm excited to get to share it as a full-time missionary!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to love everyone that I meet. I enjoy helping people and making them smile. If I can be a light in just one person's life, that would be enough for my own happiness. By actively striving to follow Christ's example with everything I do, I will find my own potential. It's not easy, and I often make mistakes, but I believe that continually trying to be better is what matters. As long as I keep trying my best to live a Christ-like life and to love those around me, I figure everything will turn out for good. The next part of my journey in life is going to be a full-time mission! I am really excited to share Christ's gospel and help others build upon the good they already have by coming to know and follow Him.
