Hi I'm Valerie Pennock

I'm a San Diego native. I'm an EMT student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the beach, especially ocean kayaking. I'm an EMT student, working towards paramedic school. I love traveling and humanitarian work. I volunteered in Ecuador and Brazil in high school. I work in trauma intervention, helping surviving victims with emotional first aid. I'm also an ESL teacher, teaching illiterate refugee adults how to speak English in order to get a job. I enjoy being a tour guide in Old Town San Diego state park, mostly because I live meeting people. I was privileged to serve a mission in New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as a service mission in San Diego.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because its provided me with a purpose. I now know what I am here for and what I am capable of becoming. I love having a purpose and feeling important and feeling like I'm contributing to something greater than myself. I know that my Father in Heaven has a plan for me to become an amazing daughter of His. I know that I am important to Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by providing hope to others. I work with so many patients and clients that have no hope and desire to continue enduring this life. I live happily and confidently because I know the plan and have faith in it. I make it clear to those around me that there is a purpose to this scary thing called life and they don't need to fear.
