Hi I'm Jared Topacio

I am a 6'3" Filipino. I am the tallest Filipino you might ever meet and I love it :) I grew up in California, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I love music, surfing, going to the gym, and all kinds of sports. I was a athlete/band geek in high school. I was in the marching band, wind ensemble, and jazz band, and I played the trumpet. Some other instruments I play are the drums, guitar, bass, and piano. --- thanks mom 3 I played volleyball in high school and I play basketball as much as I can. If you ever get to know me, you'll find out that I am a super health freak, and that you can never get me to eat junk food. Willpower!!! However every once in a while... I LOVE cooking and baking, and I love having binge sessions involving chocolate/ice cream/banana muffins/etc. I love hanging out with the missionaries, and with other future missionaries at institute. I have been called to serve in the Italy Rome Mission and I leave in May 2015.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown so much in my lifelong conversion process. My testimony grows stronger every single day. I desire all others to have the same gift we have: The gift of Jesus Christ. This is why I am serving a mission. I have faith in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. I have prayed, and I pray continually. "No man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost." The Holy Ghost has answered me. Jesus is the Christ. His living church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been restored in our day for the blessing of all mankind through the power and authority of His holy priesthood. As a missionary of the Lord, I testify that my message is true.

How I live my faith

I have been the chorister in my home ward/stake, and I would conduct the music while my brother played the organ for conferences, etc. I love going on splits with the missionaries, and I love the opportunities I get to teach elders quorum.
