Hi I'm Dillon

I am an avid outdoorsman and fly fisherman. Father of a wiggly two-year-old son.

About Me

I am an avid fly fisher and hunter, particularly waterfowl. I am the father of a wiggly son who just turned two. My amazing wife really keeps our family together and on top of things. I am currently a student at the University of Idaho College of Law.

Why I am a Mormon

The first people in my family to join the Church did so on the Isle of Man in 1842. I was raised in the Church. I was baptized when I was 8. I don't think I had my own personal testimony until my late teens. Although true gospel principles had been taught to me, I didn't live those principles. I reached a point in my life where I realized my life wasn't lining up with the gospel. I realized that I needed to make some changes. At that time, I remembered the things I had been taught. I prayed to know if the Church was true and the answer I got felt like, 'You already know it is." Since then, I have strived to live the principles I learned in my youth and studied as I have grown up. Now the Gospel is a major component of my life and my family.

How I live my faith

A large part of how I live my faith is simply showing up. I go to church. I go to meetings. I go to activities. I go to the homes of members in the my ward. Living my faith also takes place in my home. Even though my son is only 2 and easily distracted, we still do FHE and we still say prayers together.
