Hi I'm Lean Apolinario

I'm 20 years old. I live in the Philippines. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Lean and I'm 20 years old and I'm the eldest child. I have a little sister whom I really love. I graduated in college last October 2014 with a diploma in Industrial Electrical Technology. Now, I work freelance as an Autocad operator. I also love reading books especially Greek mythology. English had always been my favorite subject through out my studying.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child being baptized in my early age, I was never really fully converted in the Gospel. As I said, I often skipped Sunday school classes and not actively participate in it. We became inactive as family for at least 2 years after our baptism. Then one day the missionaries with one of the members visited us and invited us to come back to church. I was shy at first because I don't have any friends but I grew to love the church. I just can't deny the truthfulness of the Gospel. Members helped us gain our own testimony. We were called in different callings. I grew in the church and understand the Gospel more. Right now, I am waiting to enter the Missionary Training Center. I was called to labor on the Phillipines Naga Mission. I will report to the MTC on May 8 2015. I just want to testify of the truthfulness of the Gospel. I know it is true. I've seen the effect in me and my family. I will serve a mission because I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I also know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it really is the Word of God. I've read it and has guided me in this life. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and that he restored the church and that he has seen Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today. I also know that Jesus Christ died for our sins and that he wants us to be able to go back to our Father in Heaven. I know these things are true, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I was baptized when I was 10 years old. At first I didn't know what am I really committing to. I often skip the Sunday school classes because I get bored easily. Now, I am called as a teacher for boys ages 8-11. What a coincidence right? :) At first I was really hesitant to accept the call. I even asked why me? But I know that whom the Lord calls, the Lord qualifies. I may not be the most learned but through my calling, I've grown to love my students despite of their differences. It had helped me discover attributes in me which at first I didn't know I have. It helped have a stronger testimony of Christ's pure love for us and how He wants us to guide these children safely back to him.
