Hi I'm Anthony DiNuzzo

I love to play sports and being active. I was baptized April 12, 2014 and my life was forever changed. I am a Mormon.

About Me

As I said in my introduction, I love to play sports and being active in my life. My favorite sport would have to be basketball. I love the release it gives me from the world and how it clears my mind every time I play. I grew up in a strong Catholic family that went to church every Sunday. I even went to a Catholic School when I was younger and I couldn't have been more blessed to do so. I had memories and friends and overall a wonderful environment to grow up in when I was going through those hard times of life. When I was in high school I became very good friends with a girl and we basically did everything together. We were best friends and as close as could be. I always knew she was Mormon but never asked her about her faith or asked to meet the missionaries. When I was at college at the University of Kentucky, I started to question my faith and ask what I knew to be true and if that was what I truly believed. I called up my best friend that attended Brigham Young University and asked her to give me the missionaries numbers. After the first meeting I knew what they were teaching me was true. The Restored Gospel was truly restored the the earth and given to us latter-day saints to proclaim and teach people. I was baptized on April 12, 2014 and this upcoming June 2015 I have been called to serve a mission in the Indonesia Jakarta mission and words cannot describe how excited I am to do so. I know this church is true and it means everything to have the truth in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me hope.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is to try and become closer with Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father everyday through scripture study and praying to my Heavenly Father to help me and guide me on my way through this life. In my Ward right now I am a Ward missionary and I love my calling in the church. I love how callings challenge us and strength us in all ways that we could never imagine them doing. In this calling it is helping me to understand how to reach out to friends and family through social media and sharing the good news of the Restored Gospel in their lives. I love how connected I feel to the ward through this and even closer to my friends through Facebook by expressing how I feel about the Gospel and how I became to know how it was true. I am also preparing to serve a mission this upcoming summer and I am excited. Words cannot describe how I feel about sharing the news that has changed my life forever. And not only sharing that news but being an instrument in the Heavenly Father plan to bring people unto the Restored Gospel that has been given to us in these last days. As I prepare to serve a mission and spread this good news I know there will be trials and even questions i know that I will not be able to answer but I know that through the Holy Ghost and remaining worthy to work for God that we will guide us in ways that we cannot imagine and know of the things we must say to everyone. I know this to be true. I try to live my faith everyday by becoming closer to Heavenly Father and figuring out where is my next step in the plan that he has for me.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Anthony DiNuzzo
I love this aspect and how the missionaries and also my Father have explained this to me and helping me to understand how I can become closer with my Father in Heaven. Before, I always felt like I was alone and if I didn't have any friends to cheer me up then I was alone. I was wrong. Our Father in Heaven is always there for us and always leading and guiding us on our path on this earth. The way we can communicate with God and help us to find the path we should be going down is prayer. Prayer is such in important part for our life here on earth. It is essential to have a close relationship with our Father just like it is important that we should be close with our family. Our Father in Heaven wants to know about our trials about our successes about all the feelings that we are having because he knows that he can help. He can comfort us in our times of need and he is always there for us. ALWAYS. That's what I love, the reassurance of knowing that there is someone always on your side, cheering you on and rooting for you to do your absolute best because without you on this earth, it wouldn't be the same. I know that we all go through trials and trust me I've been through many but it so comforting to know that our Heavenly Father has such a divine plan for us in this life and as we grow closer to him and know the truth that is on the earth today, we can come to know our plan for this life and how important we are to this life and to our Heavenly Father.
