Hi I'm Dana

I grew up in Washington, I am attending college, and preparing to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hey my name is Dana I am the eleventh child of a family of fifteen; I have four brothers and ten sisters. I love my family very much. I love to try new things. I love tennis by far my favorite sport; I also enjoy basketball and volleyball. I love to sing, play instruments, and listen to music. I play many different instruments, some of which are, piano, violin, and French horn. I love to sew, alter clothes, to cook, paint, draw, to just create thing in general. I guess you could call me the jack of all trades. I love trying new things and become alright in terms of skill but I not always the best at mastering something. I love to read, my favorite type of book is the regency time era, clean, fun and romance.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had this gospel as a part of my life. As I have grown up I have progressed, coming to know the truthfulness of this church and the gospel for myself. God is real, he is mighty, knows everything, and is my Heavenly Father. Jesus Christ is my Savior, he sacrificed for me, for everyone, an infinite Atonement. Through Christ I can find strength, I can repent and become clean, I can turn to him because he knows everything I have to go through, what I am feeling. The Holy Ghost is real and it is through the Holy Ghost that I have attained a witness that this church and gospel is true. It is the Holy Ghost that testifies of truth, we need to study, ponder and pray with sincerity to know the truth and we can know for ourselves. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that if we take the time to study it we can find guidance for our lives that help us to get through all of our trials, that can give us guidance of what we need to be doing. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and it is through Joseph Smith that God was able to restore his true church and the fullness of the gospel to the earth again. To restore the proper authority to the earth. Worth young men and men are able to use the priesthood power in the name of God to do God's will. Thomas S. Monson is the true, living prophet in these days. It is through him that we can know what the Lord would have us do as a church, as individuals.

How I live my faith

Right now my calling in my ward is a Family History consultant aid. So basically I am helping people to know what family history is and how to do it. I am still in the learning process. Learning bit by bit. I have family scripture study and prayer each night I also have my own personal scripture study and prayers. I am preparing at this time to serve a mission.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Dana
My family has been such a blessing to me. They are always there for me, they support me, and help me through the trials and hardships I have faced in life. I know that they will continue to be there for me. I have learned to be a better person because of my experience with my family. Through my parents and siblings example I have learned the importance of church, scripture study, prayer, gaining my own testimony. I have gained experience that have helped me to develop my character to be more honest, kind, patient, not to say I am perfect but they have helped me to improve. They have helped me in more way than I can explain. Show more Show less
