Hi I'm Aaron Ross Poulsen

I have grown up in the church. I was born in Utah, moved to New Mexico, then Idaho, then Nebraska. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have two brothers (both married, one has two kids and expecting a third), two older sisters, and one younger sister. I have an odd sense of humor. I love music. I am generally very lax, and comfortable. But I try to work hard for the things that are important to me. I also love food. I can always eat. I work at a sushi restaurant (I love sushi). I love to read (although I don't do enough as I should). I love stories, and what makes a story. I love movies and shows (I have a love/hate relationship with Netflix, completely one-sided. I find it easy to justify one more episode). I am very optimistic. I tend to always see the best in people, and I wear my heart on my sleeve. I try to help others out in any way possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, and was surrounded by mormons for the six years I had lived in Idaho. At the time, I had kind of taken the church for granted, because all I knew was the church. When I moved to Nebraska, I was one of 6 mormons in my school. I soon learned to be grateful for my time at church. It was a much better feeling and atmosphere at church, and I didn't feel quite as lonely. I am still a member and want to serve a mission because I know that the church is true. I have felt it on several occasions. I have always found happiness with those around me in church, because the Holy Ghost is there touching all of us. I know that the Savior suffered for us, so that we may return to live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that every bit of the Book of Mormon is true, and that Joseph Smith translated it through the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson receives revelation from God for us. And I know God knows and loves each and every one of us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church weekly. I try to go out with the missionaries as much as possible. I try to always set a good example for those around me, be it member friends or nonmember friends. I do my best to keep the commandments and covenants I made with God. I always make time for the church and love doing so.
