Hi I'm Katie Harman

I am currently attending BYU, and I leave for the Mexico Hermosillo Mission on June 24th to serve the Lord. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending BYU with a Math Education major. I come from a big family and am an avid dog lover! I love all sports, but soccer is definitely my favorite! I love books and movies, and just getting to know new people! I recently got my mission call to the Mexico Hermosillo Mission, and I am so excited to serve the people of Mexico in the Spanish language!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church, so I have always seen it's blessing in my life. As I have grown older, I have come to have a testimony of my own that this church is true. I know that our Father in Heaven loves each and every one of us so very much. He is constantly supporting and waiting to bless us. I know that Christ bled and died for me, so that I could have the opportunity to return to my Father in Heaven. It is through this wonderful, and amazing power of the Atonement that I can be forgiven of my sins and become a better person. I know that through fervent prayer and diligent scripture study I can have the Holy Ghost as a constant companion to help guide and strengthen me. I know that prayer is a way in which can communicate with God, and He does hear and answer our prayers. I know that the scriptures truly are the word of God, and that they are there specifically for us to use and come closer to Christ and our Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith restored Christ's Church back to this Earth and that he was a prophet called of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet, with the power and authority of God to guide us in these latter days. I know that I am not perfect, but through this wonderful life and the Atonement, I can one day become like Christ and again live with my Father in Heaven. These things I testify in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always living the standards of the church. I try to serve others and support them in any way I can. I am a visiting teaching supervisor, which means that I get the reports from the women I am over every month to see if they have done their visiting teaching. I love and know the importance of serving our fellow sisters in and outside of the church. I will also be living my faith as I will be leaving to serve a church mission later this summer.
