Hi I'm Monika

I am an Aggie and a future teacher. I am a sunset lover and knock knock joke teller and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Words that describe me best are hungry, calm, and curious. I love to play music, learn (mostly useless) facts, and try new things. I am currently serving as a missionary in Japan to teach others about the gospel. I love my family very much and look forward to becoming a wife and mother some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and was taught its lessons from the time I was small, but I have since gained a fuller appreciation for what I have. The reason I continue to be a Mormon is because I believe its teaching to be true. I have had to learn that for myself, and have since found so much peace and happiness in the gospel. I went through a time when I was unsure but sincere prayer helped me find answers to my questions and confirmed to me that this is the true church. Everything good in my life stems from the blessings of living the gospel and I will always be grateful for that. I know that God is incredibly involved in our lives and that we can have personal relationships with Him. There have been so many times I have felt His love for me and other and have been guided by him in so many things. It is because of His son Jesus Christ that I have hope that good things will come, that we can become better people, and that we can someday make it back to Heaven to live with those we love after this life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving an 18-month mission for this church in Fukuoka, Japan to share the things of the gospel that are dear to my heart! The purpose of this mission is to teach people what I have come to know are true about Jesus Christ and how we can live more like Him. l Before I left, I attended church every week and enjoyed participating in activities put on by my congregation of young single adults. On a more personal level, I live my faith by spending time reading the Bible and Book of Mormon and praying to Heavenly Father. I try very hard to set goals that will help me become more like Jesus Christ and I try to look for ways to help people. I'm not always very good at that but it's a work in progress!
